Biography
James (Jim) Seifter has exclusively practiced plaintiff’s personal injury law for more than 33 years. Jim’s experience involves cases of wrongful death, catastrophic injury, truck tractor-trailer and other vehicular accidents, product liability, premises liability, medical negligence, nursing negligence, nursing home negligence and negligent security.
In his more than three decades of practice, Jim has represented clients who have recovered tens of millions of dollars, and clients who have recovered seven figures in more than 35 cases. In some instances, the cases have resulted in corporate changes which have improved the safety of the general public.
Jim’s diverse practice has allowed him to represent clients throughout the state of Georgia and outside Georgia, as well.
Jim was co-counsel in the landmark case Franklin Ford v Uniroyal Goodrich Tire Company (a case which lasted more than 10 years from occurrence to completion ) which resulted in a then-record verdict against a tire manufacturer in the amount of $42,648,669.
Jim is licensed to practice in the trial and appellate courts in Georgia in the Northern District, Middle District and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
Personal
Jim has been married to Donna for 33 years. They have a 30-year-old daughter Claire an elementary school teacher in the Gwinnett County School District.
