Biography
A trial lawyer at Penn Law, Laura focuses on personal injury, wrongful death, and trucking collision cases.
Laura attended college at the University of Georgia, where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology, graduating magna cum laude and with honors. Laura attended the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University, where she graduated magna cum laude and in the top five percent of her class.
While at Mercer, Laura was a member of the Mercer Law Review and was actively involved in the Moot Court Program. Laura received the Walker P. Johnson, Jr. Memorial Award, an award given to a graduating senior who has demonstrated excellence in litigation skills and a keen sense of professionalism and ethics. Laura also received a number of other scholastic honors, including the Faculty Award for Outstanding Legal Writing and awards for excellence in civil lawsuits, legal professionalism, and legal writing.
Before joining Penn Law, Laura worked in her hometown of Macon, Georgia, with an elite trial firm, where she gained extensive experience working on and assisting in trials of complex cases involving traumatic injuries and wrongful death.
Laura dedicates 100% of her practice as a trial lawyer to representing and advocating for the rights of injured victims or their family members. Laura is an active member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. Outside of the practice of law, Laura sits on two local Boards that serve the Atlanta and Georgia communities. Laura enjoys teaching and practicing yoga, birding, playing tennis, and spending time with her family.
